Jazz Theory Quiz is an application developed by the creators of the iImprov series with the aim of testing users' understanding of music theory. The app is divided into five main categories, making it a valuable tool for musicians across different genres. Understanding music theory is crucial as it is a universal language among musicians, transcending genres such as Jazz, Pop, Rock, Classical, and Country.

The iImprov series equips users with the necessary skills to comprehend the harmonic structures of music. Jazz Theory Quiz further enhances this understanding by focusing on the consolidation of this musical language.

The app features the following five sections of randomly generated quizzes:

• Functions: Practice identifying notes based on their relationship to the root of a chord.
• Chords: Spell various chords in different keys.
• Diatonic Chords: Spell chords in relation to the diatonic Major system's seven chords.
• Scales: Enter notes for specific scales included in iImprov-Fundamentals or iImprov-Chord/Scale Compendium.
• Intervals: Test knowledge of intervalic relationships within an octave, irrespective of key.

The Jazz Theory Quiz offers " Hints" that can be toggled and allows users to select quiz length. Users can input answers using a piano keyboard or note name buttons, visualized on a staff as they are entered. The app provides two attempts per question with the correct answer revealed after each attempt. The duration of displaying correct answers is customizable.

Quizzes are fully customizable, enabling users to focus on specific keys, chords, scales, intervals, or a combination thereof. The default settings cover all possibilities, offering flexibility tailored to individual preferences.
